Review Types
SoftVerza publishes source-based software assessments and selected hands-on examples. A source-based review is an editorial assessment of documented capabilities and limitations, not a controlled benchmark. An article should identify its approach and must not imply testing that was not performed.
Hands-On Reviews
Hands-on examples are limited to the stated application build, operating-system context, task, and sample files. Selected demonstrations use synthetic, non-sensitive files, and owner-assisted observations are distinguished from independently verified results. An observed outcome is not evidence of universal compatibility, speed, security, or reliability.
Research-Based Assessments
Official publisher documentation, release notes, download pages, license/pricing information, and authoritative project repositories are preferred for factual claims. Stable releases are distinguished from beta or development builds. Relevant version and date context should be stated; a tested build is not silently presented as a later release. Documentation can establish a feature without establishing how it performs on every computer.
No Fake Scores
SoftVerza does not present invented scores, benchmarks, star ratings, or automatic winners as evidence. Comparisons distinguish documented features from observed behavior, editorial judgments, and points not yet verified. Unsupported claims should be qualified or omitted rather than inferred from a similar product.
Screenshots and Evidence
Screenshots used as evidence must represent genuine application UI. A settings screenshot establishes the controls visible in that build, not that a task succeeded. Where a controlled example includes output verification, the article should explain what was checked and what remains untested. Filename placeholders are not treated as valid documents of the named formats.
Updates, Corrections, and Commercial Context
Articles may be revised when software details change or errors are found. Readers can submit an article URL and supporting information through Contact; our Corrections Policy describes the process without guaranteeing turnaround. The Download Safety Policy covers official download links and precautions. Commercial relationships must not substitute for evidence or determine factual conclusions; current relationship disclosures are explained in the Affiliate Disclosure.
